A new date has been announced for this year's Emmy Awards after the dual writers' and actors' strike postponed the original Sept. 18 date.
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on Monday, Jan. 15, the Television Academy and Fox announced Thursday. The show will air 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It will broadcast live on Fox and from the Peacock Theater at LA Live.
A host has not yet been announced.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place earlier that month and span two consecutive nights, starting Jan. 6, and will air Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. on FXX. The Daytime Emmy Awards set for June 16 in Los Angeles were postponed in May due to the strike and have not set a new date.
In July, a person unauthorized to speak publicly about the situation confirmed to USA TODAY that the awards show would be postponed to January due to the strikes that have largely put Hollywood on pause.

Emmy nominations were announced July 12, less than 48 hours before the SAG-AFTRA strike began. The Max drama "Succession" topped the nominations following its final season with 27 nominations, including best drama.
The Emmys move marked the first time that the TV awards show has been postponed since 2001 following the 9/11 attacks. The awards were presented seven weeks later in November.
Also impacted by the ongoing Hollywood writer's strike were the Tony Awards in June. The ceremony, hosted by Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, took place with a slightly reworked format as the show featured no scripted banter during the presentation of awards.
